Bodie Island Lighthouse sits on a picturesque peninsula located on the Cape Hatteras National Seashore in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

On this November day, I arrived at this location just before dawn with a few other photographers. We all took the peaceful walk down the long boardwalk to the observation deck in anticipation of the sunrise and, naturally, the lighthouse as our focal point.

When morning broke, divine light began illuminating the landscape beautifully. The clouds appear like ribbons in the sky directly over the lighthouse, creating this coastal scene of unimaginable beauty.
