Looking Glass Rock is a white-granite “pluton” (igneous rock), rising to nearly 4,000 feet from the Pisgah National Forest in the Appalachian Mountains of Western North Carolina, US.

On this memorable spring day, I recall the early morning light from the sunrise breaking through the storm clouds, creating perfect shadows and highlights that showcase the lush spring foliage in the Blue Ridge Mountains beautifully.
